Teachings on Love:
The Four Immeasurable Minds of Love
“Love, Compassion, Joy and Equanimity are the four elements of true love. They are called “immeasurable,” because if you practice them, they will grow in you every day until they embrace the whole world. You will become happier, and everyone around you will become happier, also.” -Thich Nhat Hanh

The New Directions, under the direction of Tricia Sikes, is the musical heart of the Center for Spiritual Living. Our vocalists, whom we like to say "Rock the house..." are Cathy Angell, Tricia Sikes, Samantha Roeder, Jade Liu and Sharon Mayson. The band's backbone is made of regulars Chris Broberg on bass, Robin Arbogast on drums, and James Lomasney on keyboards. Eric Anderson is our jack of all trades playing any instrument we need! Alan Alberts, a CSL institution, fills the center with beautiful music before our service every Sunday morning. We are truly blessed to have such incredible talent in our midst.
Tricia Sikes, music and choir director at the Center for Spiritual Living, has been singing all of her life. Since the 1980's Tricia has been singing professionally. She recorded "Spirit Am I" for Louise Hay in 1988 which is still in circulation. Tricia has been involved in The New Directions since first coming to our Center in early 2010, accepting Dr. Andrea’s invitation to be the Music Director in September 2011. This experience has been soul-filling and joy-filled and Tricia will always be so grateful to share the stage with The New Directions.
