5 Tuesdays, July 19 to August 16, 5:30 – 7 PM
How do we look at societal issues with a spiritual lens? We know there are things in the world that are not acceptable. We do not deny that terrible things happen. We seek to come from a knowing of Oneness within and look deeply at what there is to understand and what might be ours to do. We do not deny disparate ideas; we look them in the eye until we see the Truth of Oneness in them. We’ll have two goals with our study: (1) to raise our consciousness about social injustice, and (2) use SOM teachings, prayer and meditation to help us create a world that works for everyone.
Join Francine Kitchen, RScP, in exploring these issues as we discuss selected chapters from a book about thinking in terms of caste (artificial hierarchy), instead of race: Caste: The Origins of Our Discontents, by Isabel Wilkerson (recommended by Oprah’s book club and other CSL book studies).
This free book study meets on Zoom. Register by Sunday, July 17, on our website under REGISTRATONS button.
